Commissioned for law

Senior lawyer Jamshed Mistry has been appointed to the Legal Commission of the International Delphic Council (IDC) on January 11, 2024. "Definitely the first Zoroastrian on the Commission,” stated the soft-spoken Mistry. He and three other people one each from USA, Germany and Nigeria were appointed to the Commission.

The Commission is required to "make policy recommendations across all matters that apply to the IDC network,” as well as recommendations and screen guidelines applicable to operational aspects of the Council, supply advice on international treaties and dispute resolution, among others. 
The Delphic Games conducted under the umbrella of IDC, a not-for-profit nongovernmental association headquartered in Berlin, are held with the patronage of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, Association of Southeast Asian Nations States and the Council of Europe and include events in music; performing arts and acrobatics; language arts and elocution; visual arts and handicrafts; social arts and communications; ecological arts and architecture. Since 1997, seven Games have been organized, three for adults and four for juniors, the last in 2012. Queried about the dozen-year gap, Mistry stated, "They were reconstituting,”  
Founder of internationallegalalliance.com, a virtual global network of lawyers, Mistry is an associate member of the Canadian Bar Association, on the legal committee of the World Zarathushti Chamber of Commerce, India, and is in charge of networking with the Chambers’ global chapters.
