The 10 new young entrants who recently became life members of the Poona Chapter of the World Zarathushti Chamber of Commerce (WZCC) introduced their products/services at the Capter’s members’ night held on June 21, 2019 at Hotel Shree Panchratna. The new  members include entrepreneurs in the fields of handmade artifacts and gift items; videography and photography; financial consulting; travel and hospitality; software solutions and real estate financing, noted Chapter chair Tehmasp Bharucha in an email to Parsiana.

 

 

 

Bharucha stated that "we have allotted the (youth) portfolio to our committee member (and treasurer) Ardaviraf Sinor who is in touch with other youth bodies such as Zoroastrian Youth Association (ZYA) of Poona (for collaborations). The new members will be groomed into taking up responsibility of the Youth wing and will revive it shortly.” WE (Women Entrepreneurs) wing was so far guided by the Chapter’s past chairperson Mahrukh Bharucha. The office bearers now "want to give chance and encourage more and more ladies to come forward and take up leadership to continue the work under WE wing,” Tehmasp wrote.
Officials from HDFC Mutual Fund addressed the audience on how to diversify their personal portfolios to make them more effective. "How to win as an entrepreneur” was the theme of the talk of keynote speaker and managing director of Ambit Asset Management company Sidhharth Rastogi, who was introduced to the audience by senior member of the Chapter Viraf Deboo. Rastogi narrated the importance of clear goals and the requisite strategy to achieve them for entrepreneurs; the need for networking skills; the importance of timely corrective action in case of potential failure. "Expand your mindset and increase your knowledge and update it from time to time,” he advised.
While Chapter secretary Farrokh Bhathena was the master of ceremonies for the evening, committee member Vistasp Dastur offered the vote of thanks.
