“A solitary Navroz”

I have gone through the March 21-April 6, 2020 issue of Parsiana and found it very interesting. I really liked the editorial, "A solitary Navroz,” and the statement at the end that the virus is taking its toll on the quality of life. That is most true… and on an unprecedented scale. Most of the letters to the editor too were very perceptive. The history of the Aarey Milk Colony in Bombay was an eye-opener. Most people are aware of the Amul cooperative and its founder, Verghese Kurien, Father of the White Revolution, but not much is known about Dara Khurody. It is really sad that trees are being cut down (the little that remains of the forest) in the Aarey Colony. In the article "Thoughts for food” I particularly liked the interventions of Vandana Shiva and Prof Shereen Ratnagar. Of course, both are authorities in their particular fields and progressive in their thinking. Do keep up the good work despite difficult times due to Covid-19 and lockdowns.                     KOBAD GHANDY kobad1947@gmail.com  ...
