Vision for wellness

"Today’s lifestyle is a disease in itself! Most of the lifestyle diseases burdening our society today are our own creation,” reads the brochure for ClinOma Healthcare, conceptualized by Dr Zinobia Madan, its founder and managing director who has over 20 years’ experience in the field. This novel approach, designed to complement the doctor’s prescription of appropriate medication, includes lifestyle counseling, dietary habits, fitness and exercise, yoga, physiotherapy and related lifestyle modalities provided by dedicated professional experts to achieve the ultimate goal of complete care.
The vision of ClinOma encompasses collaboration and partnership with pharmaceutical companies in the area of medico-marketing, clinical research and regulatory support. High quality medical information and support to pharma and healthcare companies will help them update their customers and empower the field force, giving them a cutting edge. Medico-marketing aims to build bonds between healthcare providers and pharma companies. It will include development of medical monographs, slides, training manuals, writing for medical journals, training field staff, new product suggestions. In the area of nutrition and nutraceuticals, ClinOma specializes in designing new formulae with a sound medical basis, the brochure states.



Dr Zinobia Madan: expertise and commitment


ClinOma plans to offer relevant skills at every stage of clinical research to clinical trial management and clinical report preparation. Legal procedures associated with the launch of new products for the Indian market will be handled by the regulatory section. This will include preparing documents for registration, marketing permission, compiling registration documents for export, providing medical rationale for fixed dose combinations.
Madan was awarded a doctorate for her original cardiovascular research at Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre, Bombay after which she actively pursued further clinical research in pharmacology and nutrition. In recognition of this she was awarded membership of The National Academy of Medical Sciences and Fellowship of the International Medical Sciences Academy. A member of several medical societies in India, she has presented and published papers at national and international conferences and has been a speaker for increasing awareness on wellness and healthcare. Her expertise in handling a large number of clinical research projects will ensure that her new venture, ClinOma, fulfills its avowed aim of "Blending expertise with commitment rare/Our skills with you, we shall share/ This is indeed The ClinOma promise of care.”
