The winning blue logo for the 12th World Zoroastrian Congress (WZC) depicts the head and half the wing span of the asho farohar on the left side, with the lettering WZC on the right half incorporating tiny stars in white resemblant of the US flag. The name of the
host city, New York, is shown in bold red with the statue of Liberty substituting the alphabet O. Below the logo is carried the theme of the congress "Bridging the Global Zarathushti Existence.”
As notes the Congress website wzc2022.com, "Over 175 entries were received from all over the world for the 12 WZC logo design competition. The jury deliberated over these entries over two weeks and we are happy to announce that the winner of the logo competition is Shahin Khosraviani (pictured) of Virginia, USA.”
Khosraviani who runs his own design business was born and raised in Tehran, Iran. He graduated in graphic design from the Art University of Tehran and gained experience at prestigious companies in Iran such as Chaie Goleshtam and Borgward Company. Besides the 12WZC logo, Khosraviani has also designed the logo graphics and affiliate
designs for the 17th Zoroastrian Games 2020 that will be held in Washington.
The Zoroastrian Association of Greater New York that is organizing the 12WZC thanked all the participants as also their esteemed jury members: Alisha Shroff (Hong Kong), Karl Desai (Sydney), Rayomand Patell (Bombay), Shazneen Gandhi (Los Angeles), Tinaz Karbhari (Auckland and Hong Kong) and coordinator Arzan Wadia.
