Mahuva’s dadgah renovated

After an ijashni ceremony was performed by two priests from Surat, the atash padshah of the Ardeshir Bhikhaji Patel Anjuman Daremeher (Dadgah) in Mahuva was shifted to the newly renovated hall of the dadgah on the morning of March 17, 2025. Hosi Bajina, president of the Mahuva Parsi Anjuman sent an email to Parsiana about the event. A jashan at the dadgah that evening was led by the Malsesar Behdin Anjuman’s panthaky Ervad Firdaus Karkaria, accompanied by Ervads Keki Dastur, Burjor Aibara and Zubin Rabadi from Surat.

The festivities then moved to the hall at Maneckwadi where Bajina welcomed the guests, including trustees from various anjumans across South Gujarat. Mahuva Anjuman trustee Dr Hosang Mogal introduced the evening’s president, Dinshaw Tamboly of WZO Trust Funds, chief guest Firdaus Anklesaria and guest of honor, Sam Chothia of the Valsad Parsi Anjuman. Tamboly expressed confidence in the youth, urging them to work diligently and to involve themselves in community activities. Anklesaria spoke of the importance of faith in our religion, while Chothia encouraged members of the audience to cherish their mother tongue, Gujarati, and incorporate its use into their daily lives.
Tamboly launched Mogal’s book, Amé ‘Mogal’ Mahuvana (History of Mogals of Mahuva), written in Gujarati. Shehan Bajina thanked everyone involved in making the event a success. After singing Chhaiyé Hamé Zarthoshti and the national anthem the guests enjoyed a dinner catered by Soonu Kasad of Navsari.
