It was an amazing coincidence that the 150th humbandagi on roz Avan at the Bhikha Behram Well coincided with the Avan Ardavisur Parav (mah Avan roz Avan) on March 23, 2022. As there were no jashans being held anywhere else in Bombay like the one that used to be performed on the pier of the Radio Club, nor were people able to visit the waters off Marine Drive at the Parsi Gate because of the Coastal Road project work, over 500 people visited the Bhikha Behram Well. It took us back to pre-Covid times when the young and old of the community came to the Well to avail of the blessings of Avan Ardavisur Banu.
Back in 2009 when Perzon Zend and I started this initiative, little did we know that we would be able to sustain it month after month for 150 months. There is definitely a divine power that makes it possible.
We are indebted to the priests who come and perform the jashan every month and all the speakers and scholars who enlighten the crowd every roz Avan with knowledge about our prayers and customs.
We hope the power of Avan Yazad helps us achieve more milestones and, as we always mention after the humbandagi "Pray together... Stay together...”
