Stepping out in Nagpur

A heritage walk organized for members of the Nagpur Parsi Gymkhana (NPG) on December 18, 2022 was "very educational, and brought alive the history and origin of Nagpur,” stated NPG honorary secretary Khurshid Dalal who put together the event curated and led by architect Amol Wanjari of tour company Orange Odyssey.           Clockwise, from top: Nagpur Parsis at heritage walk; step well; Rukmini Temple   Some 20 odd community members aged 12 to 78 trod through the lanes and bylanes of old Nagpur, visited the Gond Palace, the Bhonsle Palace and other heritage structures like a 150-year-old temple complex (Rukmini Temple), a 300-year-old step-well, and the Dadasaheb Dhanvate Nagar Vidyalaya, reportedly the oldest school in the orange city, known to be alma mater of union minister Nitin Gadkari and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh founder Keshav Hedgewar, noted Dalal.
