A 30-year-old Parsi woman has been duped of Rs 17 lakhs by a man she met on a matrimonial website, reported The Times of India (ToI) dated February 8, 2019. The man identified himself to the divorced woman as Daniz and told her that he was a mechanical engineer employed in Texas with an oil company, the police told ToI. The unidentified woman told the police that after she uploaded her details on the website, she received an email from "Daniz” in May 2018. The imposter told the woman that he was coming to Bombay on work, and promised to marry her and take her to the US. A month later, "Daniz” requested the woman for eight lakh rupees, which she sent to his bank account.
