A few months before the Bombay Parsi Punchayet (BPP) trusteeship elections WAPIZ (World Alliance of Parsi Irani Zarthoshtis) had inducted Meher Panthaki as a trustee. Why was Anahita Desai not inducted at that time? Was she not worthy of being a WAPIZ trustee? Instead she became a worthy candidate for BPP trusteeship, more so than Tatas director Farrokh Kavarana! It is said that Khojeste Mistree objected as he did not want a gher-no-ghambar, but in order to pacify her WAPIZ gave her the post of WAPIZ CEO (chief executive officer). I had raised this issue at Desai’s Bharucha Baug meeting on June 24, 2011, but she did not reply.
Why did WAPIZ boycott Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi’s felicitation at Udvada? Why did Areez Kham-batta call upon the high priests not to attend the said function and try to stop BPP chairman Dinshaw Mehta from doing so?
Why did WAPIZ and its CEO Desai not stop their own trustee Hoshang Wania from selling the Batliwalla Agiary land? Why did they not attend the felicitation of cricketer Zubin Surkari which was at Rustom Baug, where Desai stays?
No matter how great your words may be, you will be judged by your actions. To taste the sweetness of success you must be able to forget the past and listen to your heart. Good clean competition is healthy while jealousy and lies are a fatal illness.
I request Khambatta not to publish anything in The Free Press Journal (FPJ) which is read by people other than Parsis. Write anything against anybody but please write in the Jam-e-Jamshed or Parsi Times instead of spending about a crore for the WAPIZ Page in the FPJ. Why not pay Parsi papers for the WAPIZ advertisement page instead?
How can one find time to hate others when life is too short for love?
