"We learned a lot and got to do without a few things… learned to do with a few things and eventually embraced the new normal as better humans,” M. J. Wadia Agiary trustee Kersi Limathwalla reminisced about the two-year hiatus when their structured religion classes perforce went online thanks to the pandemic. He was speaking at the resuming of the physical classes at the Agiary on April 3, 2022. Calling this a second innings, a note from the trustee stated that the event was "like a family reunion… a religious gathering of an extended family with emotional overtones.” Course director Ervad (Dr) Ramiyar Karanjia, who spoke on the relevance of Avan Yasht, attributed "the bonding of the family to the love, affection of the course participants along with the power of prayers!”

Floral tributes were offered to Karanjia by Falak Cooper "who has been with us from day one,” noted Limathwalla, who in turn was felicitated by Katy Karanjia, mother of Ramiyar, "and a silent supporter of our course.”
"We’re meeting again at the same venue on the first Sunday of every month,” stated Limathwalla. Special classes for younger audiences on the second Sunday of each month "will also resume physically from May 2022… with a field trip for the children to Banaji Atash Behram.” Registrations are available by writing to

The program, a brainchild of Limathwalla, started in April 2008 at the Agiary Hall and except for the "mini halt” occasioned by the coronavirus, went digital in September 2020. Karanjia has functioned as the course director since its start. Lessons include translations of prayers and stories from Persian epics.
