“A question of survival”

I read with great interest "A question of survival” (Parsiana, August 7-20, 2020) by Rati Wadia. The writer, a retired teacher from a Parsi family of three girls, one of whom married a non-Parsi, wrote in appreciation of my sentiments. All the terrible consequences of a non-Parsi entering a bigoted Parsi family that I had listed would have followed had her father not been an enlightened Zoroastrian. Several persons have phoned and written to say they agree with me. There are indications that many today feel that religion must be practiced in a more pragmatic way in keeping with modern thinking. Parsiana is progressive and has been active in promoting a liberal outlook. The magazine should not shy away from publishing articles or letters that endorse such views for fear that it will be criticized as being too liberal. KHORSHED JAVERI javerikhorshed@gmail.com  ...
