The celebrations began with a maachi at 7 p.m. at the Kaikhushru Pallonji Katrak Dar-E-Meher, after which guests assembled at the Navroz table put together by DPA honorary secretary Veera Mavalwala in the foyer of the Godrej Cultural Centre auditorium. After a welcome by fashion designer Ashdeen Lilaowala on behalf of DPA, Anjuman president Ava Khullar recounted the event where eight Parsis were recognized for their achievements by the Delhi Minorities Commission (see "Eight Delhi Parsis honored,” Events and Personalities, Parsiana, January 7, 2019). She reminded the members of the passing away of trustee Farida Variava. "A true live wire of the Anjuman,” Khullar noted.
