I received by airmail (in record time of just two weeks) my copy of the jumbo edition of Parsiana of August 7, 2018 (normal delivery time is between three and four weeks). As usual, I will read it with interest! The review of Dr Gieve Patel’s book was interesting! Patel and I were contemporaries at St Xavier’s High School in Bombay!
I thought that I should bring to your attention that the recently-instituted brown paper envelope does not withstand the rigors of post office handling over the miles. The envelope of this recent issue was shredded to pieces both at the top and the bottom. The only thing that was holding the contents were two inches near the top flap. Had that torn off, the magazine would have parted company with the envelope and failed to reach its destination. I hope this constructive feedback is useful in packaging future editions when these are sent overseas.
I look forward to reading future editions of Parsiana, something that keeps me attached to my Zoroastrian roots. I thank you for this service to our community worldwide.

We apologize for the state of the wrappings. Due to the recent restrictions on the use of plastic, we switched to paper. In future we will acquire paper with a higher bursting strength. We are also inquiring if recyclable plastic envelopes of a higher grammage are permitted.
