A private developer has assured the Bombay High Court that construction of his high rise building on Nepean Sea Road would not damage the adjacent bungalow belonging to former attorney general Soli Sorabjee (pictured), reported The Times of India of April 7, 2018. Sorabjee and his son Dr Jehangir had filed a petition claiming that construction material including cement slabs, heavy stones and rods, fell from the 32 storey Aashiana housing society posing a threat to their residence, Hill Side Villa. Should the developer renege on his assurance, Sorabjee could approach the assistant municipal commissioner D Ward and adopt appropriate legal proceedings, the Court stated.
