"Almost 75%” of Ahmedabad’s 120 Parsis who took part in a vaccination drive on July 18, 2021 were taking their second doses "while a good number of youngsters too took their first dose,” noted Merzban Lahewala, trustee of the Sunamai and Firoze Davar Charitable Trust. The program was held at the city’s Parsi Sanitorium Grounds, with the Trust bearing all costs. "Humdins appreciated the organizing of the drive specially when there is a shortage of vaccine doses and there is imminent fear of a third wave,” noted Lahewala.

The Trust was founded in 2017 by former Ahmedabad Parsi Panchayat trustee Prof Armaity Davar in memory of her parents with the objective of providing secular educational aid for needy families.
