Around 1,000 people attended The Zoroastrian Club’s Winter Fest held at the Parsi Dharamsala grounds in Secunderabad on December 10, 2023. Most of them were dressed in Christmas colors of red and green while the Club’s committee members stood out wearing white.

The children enjoyed the Kids’ Play Zone with the trampoline, a bouncy castle and ball pool. The grownups "enthusiastically played” games of hoopla, curve the ball, spin the wheel, ten pins among others, noted Roxana Chehna, Club managing committee member. Raffle tickets were bought in large numbers. People of all ages enjoyed the entrance of Santa Claus played by Parvez Baria in costume! A flash mob dance and live music by Steve Adams and Huzefa at the mike kept everybody’s feet tapping. Shoppers flocked to the stalls selling various items including Christmas goodies, accessories, jewelry, cold pressed oils, and very importantly, food. Raffle prizes included electronic goods and dinner sets.
Nonagenarian Mehroo Baria told Parsiana, "I am glad that I attended this function. I met so many friends and really enjoyed myself.”
Club president Jehangir Bisney wrote in a community post the following day that the event was "an outstanding success.” He thanked the Dharamsala trustees for use of the premises, and "the entire team of super-efficient volunteers” ranging in age from 80+ to below eight, the donors and others. He lauded the "fab four” of the managing committee: Daisy Chenoy, Chehna, Nianaaz Darabna and Jamsheed Hormusjee, for their organizational skills. "All our recent events have ensured that the Club carries on with no financial overload due to the difficult times it is going through. It is only with your support that the Club is able to churn out these activities,” stated Bisney.
The function could not be held at the Club premises due to an on-going litigation with the former contractor/vendor (see "Club stalemate continues,” Events and Personalities, Parsiana, June 21-July 6, 2023).
