Double standards abound. Is it any wonder that our community lacks cohesiveness, whether it is about the calendar, mode of disposal of the dead, gender equality, etc. Your cover story, "Vandsa revisited” (Parsiana, October 21-November 6, 2022) illustrates this brilliantly. We are so consumed by racism, sexism and bigotry that we have turned away from the essence of a good life.
We deserve what we get and the people we elect to represent us. Some say we need a Parsi Pope. Maybe it’s the need of the hour to have someone like Pope Francis.
