Zanzibar plates like those featured in Parsiana ("The prized plates,” Books, October 21, 2018) are also available in India. When we had visited Jaipur, Rajasthan, nearly 20 years ago, we had picked up several colorful ceramic plates. Most of these I had gifted to my friends and family on their special occasions. I still use the plates, serving dishes and vases that I had purchased from Jaipur.
