Ervad (Dr) Ramiyar Karanjia: kindling interest
"This book is intended to kindle interest of children in learning about their religion,” Karanjia states in the Introduction. "Parents and teachers may first go through (it)... and then read it with the children as per their inclination and capacity,” he advises. In the first chapter, "What is God?” Karanjia introduces Ahura Mazda, and also the names of God as used in other religions. The following chapters are about knowing Ahura Mazda, His gifts to us and His helpers. He proceeds to show children how to understand Ahu-ra Mazda, have Him as a friend, talk to Him, make Him happy and their duty toward the supreme being.
The book will be a boon to parents whose own knowledge of the religion is shaky, fulfilling an important role in reinforcing their own beliefs while imparting information to their wards. The design and composition are by Cyrus Sidhva.
