Sarosh Dastoor, assistant professor of electronics and communications engineering at Surat’s Sarvajanik College of Engineering and Technology, obtained his doctoral degree in electronics engineering on January 11, 2021. Under the guidance of Prof Upena Dalal and Dr Jignesh Sarvaiya, Dastoor received the degree for his thesis on cellular planning and heterogenous network optimization for next generation wireless mobile communication from the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Institute of Technology. The 41-year-old has 26 research papers to his credit. An ordained priest, he has served the Bisney Agiary at Surat, noted researcher Marzban Giara.
