BPP elections

Noted solicitor and community activist Berjis Desai, who was expected to contest the March 14, 2021 Bombay Parsi Punchayet trusteeship elections has, after careful consideration, decided not to offer his candidacy for now. He was expected to stand along with social worker Anahita Desai for the trusteeship seats vacated by Zarir Bhathena who expired in June last year and chairman Yazdi Desai who resigned in December 2020 following a stroke.         Berjis Desai (l), Hoshang Jal     Hoshang Jal, a former assistant comissioner, customs, who served on the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence and is a resident of Cusrow Baug, is expected to offer his candidacy. "(I am) thinking of standing, yes,” he responded to Parsiana on January 14.
