Subscribers’ comments

Subscribers’ comments on Parsiana’s strengths and weaknesses written on the subscription renewal form are published with their consent. Unless another name is affixed to the remarks, Parsiana assumes they are written by the subscriber.

Parsiana’s strengths: As an upcountry Parsi every bit of information and news gathered is very important to us. Shortcomings: Sometimes reading the hot discussions/reviews of our wealthy Bombay Parsi Punchayet (BPP) is upsetting to me. The BPP should think and work for charity rather than fight.

Parsiana’s strengths: Very good as a Parsi community publication. Shortcomings:  Every issue has generic titles such as Editorial Viewpoint, So They Say, etc. These need sub-titles, as generic titles are not always enough. The emphasis always seems to be on saving space.
SOLI J. ARCEIVALA

The editors reply:
We try and preserve as much space as possible for content.

Parsiana’s strengths: All round information on the Parsi community. Your editorials are excellent.

Parsiana’s strengths: Only credible publication giving news about Parsis. Shortcomings: Not enough news about the community outside Bombay. Some articles in a lighter vein needed. What has happened to Parsi humor?
KAIKOBAD S. ITALIA

Parsiana’s strengths: Most regular and with a lot of information. Shortcomings: Please cover local news, or appoint persons at different places to give you details of happenings in the towns.
SAIRUS HOMI KASAD

Parsiana’s strengths: Most important news of Parsi community with malice to none is spread to all readers. Shortcomings: None since the last 10 years.

Parsiana’s strengths: Parsiana has the guts to discuss controversial subjects in a bold manner.
