It has been brought to my attention that in a letter titled "Rewind and fast forward” (Readers’ Forum, Parsiana, May 21, 2014) there was a correction to the effect that the ex-president of ZANZ (Zarathushtrian Association of New Zealand), i.e. myself, when asked during the 10th World Zoroastrian Congress in Bombay in December 2013 whether ZANZ would make a loss, stated: "We will not go bankrupt, they averred with the assurance of the youth (as no congress has gone bankrupt till date).” This is incorrect.
If the video tapes are played and listened to carefully, it will be clear that when asked this question I replied that "if no funds were raised, then yes ZANZ would go bankrupt. However, the youths have a target of $100,000 to reach and we’re confident they will achieve it. Hence we ask for your support to raise funds” for the Sixth World Zoroastrian Youth Congress scheduled to be held in Auckland in 2015. PAETERASP VEVAINA
