Drs Rumi and Yasmin Beramji who run the 41- year-old Beramji’s Hospital in Girgaum, specializing in acupuncture, acupressure and Kerala massage, believe these alternative therapies can save "so many from an operation.” A staff of 65 personnel, including eight doctors and 21 nurses tends to orthopedic complaints of patients as per treatment prescribed by one of the Beramjis, both of whom are qualified medical practitioners having earned their MBBS degrees before they chose to specialize in acupuncture and alternative medicine.
