In connection with your cover story "Dadysett’s dedication,” (Parsiana, July 21-August 6, 2019), I would like to mention that my interest in Bombay’s history often takes me trawling through the Internet for nuggets of information I had no knowledge of. I would like to share with your readers what I came across about the Ardeshir Dadibhoy Dadysett Agiary in Fort (pictured).
The Dadysett Agiary is perhaps the only Agiary that has followed both the Shahenshahi and Kadmi rites. Apparently, according to the Encyclopaedia Iranica website, it started as a Shahenshahi adaran in 1771, but switched over to being Kadmi in 1803,......
