Krohne Marshall, the Poona based joint venture (JV) of the Forbes Marshall Group with German process instrumentation major Krohne Messtechnik has set up a new 10,000 sq m facility in that city for manufacturing and calibration of magnetic flow meters, switches and gauges. The facility was inaugurated on November 16, 2016.
In communication with Parsiana, Farhad Forbes, chairman, said that "Our success (in the JV) stems from bringing a combination of the best in innovative product technology from Krohne with the market reach and application selling that Forbes Marshall provides.” The communiqué stated that Krohne Marshall is "a true example of all what a good JV should be …commonality of objectives, spirit of cooperation, level of trust, mutual respect and understanding, and an alignment of values that we have between the partners.”

"This factory is as good as any other Krohne plant in Europe,” according to Michael Dubbick, chief operating officer of the Krohne Group, who was present at the inauguration. He was quoted in a report in the Business India magazine of December 5-18, 2016. A press note hosted on the website of the company to mark the inauguration states that "Krohne Marshall has the largest and most accurate water flow calibration facility in this part of the world.” The facility is accredited to ISO 17025 international standards. The company has an installed base of over 100,000 flow meters and manufactures more than 15,000 units annually.
