"Unwanted women"

I partially agree with you when you say that Parsi women have not launched any agitation, public protest, on-line signature drive, etc to oppose the discrimination against them ("Unwanted women," Editorial Viewpoint, Parsiana, August 21, 2018). This is the 21st century! These proxy powers that men assume must go. To treat women as children of a Lesser God would be unthinkable anywhere else! The Sabarimala judgment should have far reaching consequences for religious places like our fire temples, and rites and rituals that bar Parsi women (and their children) if married outside the faith. Young women’s names are not recited in certain prayers by our mobeds lest we defile the religion. Shocking! Can any thinking person accept that?
