Twilight

See twilight I, approaching upon our dear community/ That’s why, hazy is our vision; uncertain is our destiny.   If an axe upon our feet we strike; none can we blame/ It is our own doing, our misdeeds that put us to shame. Pray I, that our "fires" everlasting be and crores of years burn/ But what I foresee, my heart breaks and my stomach does churn. Twilight approaching upon us Parsis, very soon I visualize/ For this only our own selves we must blame and penalize. Even right away if we act; see the oncoming storm, the fact/ On it with all our heart we act; we can keep ourselves intact. Stop our feuds, ego clashes we must and in unison action take/ It’s in hands our very own; whether we wish to mar or make. Spouse choose a Parsi, early in life and children have three/ Certainly then, will dawn arise; our shackles will break free. ARMIN DUTIA MOTASHAW Ahmedabad armindutiamotashaw@gmail.com  ...
