Info on educationist

My mother, Prof Aban Z. Sethna, is researching the life and work of Parsis who came from Surat to Bombay in the 18th and 19th centuries. Would any of your readers be able to enlighten her about the birthplace of Maneckji Bejonji Cooper (1845-1904, pictured) or his immediate ancestors? Did they come from Surat? Cooper was an educationist who founded the Fort High School and gave evidence before the Education Commission of 1882. His two sons named the Maneckji Cooper School at Juhu in Bombay after their father. Readers are requested to kindly also disclose the text/source of that information, where possible. Aban may be contacted on email at abansethna@gmail.com and mobile: 9820588976 and I at thritysethna@gmail.com and 9820573662.    THRITY Z. SETHNA thritysethna@gmail.com  ...
