“Paidusts in the pandemic”

Following up on your editorial "Paidusts in the pandemic” (Parsiana, July 7-20, 2020), I would like to know whether there were any issues about the disposal of the dead during the Spanish flu? All I am aware of is that my paternal grandfather died of the flu in 1918 and they consigned him to the dakhma in Secunderabad. I had seen his name in the register when I had gone to the dakhma a few times, following the biers of my maternal grandfather and a few other relatives in the 1950s and 1960s. YEZDYAR S.
