"Daizy Patel now heads Surat’s Parsi Pragati Mandal (PPM),” states a write-up from Nekshan Khandadia, committee member of PPM and the Zoroastrian Women’s Assembly of Surat (ZWAS). Patel is also a secretary of ZWAS. She promised a "year full of events and gatherings along with many projects for the community,” stated Khandadia. Patel told Parsiana on September 8, 2024 that next year will mark the 80th year of the founding of the PPM.

A talent show organized by the PPM jointly with ZWAS on August 10 saw "so much of Zoroastrian talent on display.” Children and adults ranging in age from one year onwards enthusiastically participated from both organizations. Held at the Kadim Hall, part of the Seth Pestonjee Kalabhai Vakil Kadim Atash Behram, Khandadia noted that the judges of the competition were event organizer and choreographer Vidhi Bhatia and stage and television actor Sagar Gohil.
The audience was welcomed by PPM president Mahatab Bhatporia. As is the wont in all Surat competitions, prizes galore were given out. Both organizations felicitated community youngsters for their "remarkable achievements.” PPM also distributed Rs 1,75,000 by way of scholarships.
