I was saddened to learn that Berjis Desai will no longer write his column for your magazine ("Farewell to Bawa Musings,” Parsiana, August 21, 2017). Living in Houston, Texas, each issue of Parsiana brings a little bit of Bombay and its nostalgia to me. The feature I most looked forward to was Desai’s column. He had a way with words, and he took dead aim at topics showcasing Parsi cultural vignettes in a very entertaining manner. This gave each column a unique and distinct character that was not to be found in any other publication.
