I am appalled that individuals are so critical of Jiyo Parsi’s second advertising campaign ("A class apart,” Parsiana, September 7, 2017). We all know the urgency of this campaign for our community and the message it seeks to get across is obviously a very essential one.
For individuals to dissect every word and sentence in each advertisement and take it as a personal affront when there is a

reference to "a job half done” or "leaving everything to the servant” (which is still such a sad reality and people who have moved into foreign lands need to know this) is nothing but narrow-minded and immature.
The advertisement which speaks about "The most amazing gift you can ever give you child: A sibling” is so true. As one of three siblings and a mother of three siblings I truly believe this advertisement line could say it all for our community. The advertisement seeks to bring this to the attention of parents who have one child out of choice and to convince them of the joys of a second or third child. For those who have limited the size of their families for health or financial reasons (which also our community can help with) need not feel insulted for "a job half done!”
Making claims and excuses to criticize this campaign stinks of nothing but petty mindedness and frivolous affectation. Those who claim "their sensibilities were affronted” need to take a hard look at the service rendered by Dr Shernaz Cama, Sam Balsara, Dr Anahita Pandole, Pearl Tirandaz and scores of others who are willingly giving up their time so generously for this cause and this campaign.
With social media at our fingertips, it has made it so much easier for the new generation to lie in their beds with their phones and laptops and criticize other peoples’ efforts and genuine initiatives. For all those so "hurt” by this campaign — please come forward with solutions and donation of your time and efforts. The community requires no more complainers!
