Graduates from Bel-Air

Our belief in the growth potential of the over 100-year-old Dr R. B. Billimoria  (pictured) Bel-Air Hospital in Panchgani, now managed by the Red Cross Society, is paying dividends and our support for the Bel-Air College of Nursing (BCON) there remains firm. This year, five students graduated in the Master’s degree (MSc) program as budding scientists. Five more will graduate in 2017. Every year five students are expected to enroll and graduate, while those who have already graduated will serve their alma mater or elsewhere. Four BCON scientists attended the American Public Health Association (APHA) Convention in Denver, Colorado, and presented their work. Their visit received financial support from the M. and M. Patel Endowment for Advancement of Nursing in India at the University of Illinois Foundation (UIF). Additional support came from Bel-Air Benefit Foundation (BABF), which also helps by sending recycled books, journals, CDs and other educational tools to their library.                         MEHROO and MINU PATEL Chicago, USA mkp@uic.edu  ...
