Rookie poet

Twenty-one-year-old Parizaad Chothia (pictured) has penned a book of poems titled Sonata of My Dreams which, according to the poet, comprises "words that appeared out of nowhere and wove themselves into random thoughts and poems.” The 66-page book published by Partridge in 2016 contains around 45 poems and thoughts of the Valsad born, aspiring poet and writer. A student of Vaidik Dental College, Chothia is pursuing a bachelors in dental surgery. Her poems reflect modern day concerns such as a mother lamenting in "Sweet Admonitions:” "A bit of patience you don’t possess/Facebook is your permanent address.”  There is also empathy for the......
