Shahrukh Bilimoria (pictured), newly appointed president of the Bharatiya Janata Party for municipal ward 219, says that he has two important priorities: He and his party members are working on providing rations at concessional rates for widows in his ward through Lodha Foundation, a nongovernmental organization. Cleaning up of terraces and overhead water storage tanks based on requests from housing societies in his ward is the second. Speaking to Parsiana on May 25, 2017, he notes, "We continue to facilitate the issuance of Aadhar cards for senior citizens,” adding that in the previous week, the party had arranged for a session for senior citizens to get familiar with smart phones!
A circular dated May 6 from Farhad Hozdar, president of the Godrej Baug Residents Welfare Association (GBRWA) notes that Bilimoria was appointed as vice president of ward 213, which has now been merged with ward 219, a year ago. The areas of Malabar Hill, Nepeansea Road, Walkeshwar and Kemps Corner are included under ward 219, notes the circular. Bilimoria also functions as honorary general secretary of GBRWA.
