“Some home truths"

Further to my letter "Some home truths” (Readers’ Forum, Parsiana, May 21, 2017) to which Dr B. S. Bhesania, consultant, Mulla and Mulla has replied in great detail about the role of the Parsi Central Association (PCA) Co-operative Housing Society, I would like to ask him as to where in the covenant is gender/sex of the Parsi Zoroastian mentioned...as Parsiana has also pointed out in its Editorial Viewpoint ("This is not religion”) in the same issue. So why should only the Parsi ladies married outside the community [tauba, tauba (God forbid)] uphold and respect the archaic and unconstitutional covenant? What about the self-righteous Parsi men? Their rights are unquestionable. The men have diplomatic (read religious) immunity to marry whosoever and continue with their profession... and their male progeny for generations, watered down to one-eighth Parsi are still considered Zoroastrians with full rights.                            DIANA PATELL Poona dianapatell@gmail.com  ...
