“A mystic view”

I read with a bit of amusement "A mystic view” of Ilm-e-Khshnoom (Parsiana, March 7, 2017). While it makes sense not to shake the kusti before an atash because it is done to shake off the satan, but beyond that, to suggest that bad thoughts intensify when women are in menses (being views propagated by men, how would they know that?), or people who eat beef or pork do not get protection from Srosh Yazad, is surely taking the matter too far. We are the most fortunate followers of a Prophet who was open-minded to tell us to listen to his message with our good mind, and that each one of us alone is accountable for his/her thoughts and decisions. For me, it is sufficient to focus on this beauty and strength of our Zoroastrian faith than be preoccupied with rituals. Following Zarathushtra’s main message has made us what we are today: respected by other faiths. Why dilute it with undue attention to ‘how’ and ‘when’ of rituals?
