BPP lawyer assaulted

The main advocate for the Bombay Parsi Punchayet (BPP) in the Small Causes Court, Kersasp Bhot was assaulted while defending the eviction suit filed  against the BPP by Sir J. J. Parsi Trust for the possession of the main office of the BPP situated at 309, Dr Dadabhai Naoroji Road, according to reports. An affidavit has reportedly been filed by Bhot stating that on June 22, 2017, the advocate for the J. J. Trust, S. K. Vyas and his son Nilesh Vyas, also an advocate, assaulted him, in front of the court Commissioner recording the evidence in Suit No 1218 of 2002.  Bhote’s affidavit reportedly reads, "both father and son got up and in fury rushed at me and caught me by the neck and pushed me to the window behind me, and held me there for a while… The advocate for the plaintiff was spitting venom against me, and threatened to throw me out of the window, finish me off in seconds.”   ...
