Forty Zoroastrians ranging in age from three to over 73 (including children photographed above) participated in Avan mah, Avan roz prayers on March 24, 2017 at the Princep Ghat on the river Hooghly in Calcutta. The event was organized by the Calcutta Zoroastrian Stree Mandal. The devotees who had gathered at the Calcutta Parsee Club were transported by buses and cars to the venue. The Paani no namaskar prayer was led by mobed Jimmy Taraporvalla. Each devotee was given a snack bag which contained among other things, a wedge of dar ni pori and a sachet of malido, mentions an email from Navaz Gherda.
