In the Parsiana Book of Iranian Names, under the section on girls, the last name is Zoish, which means invoker. She is the maternal grandmother (mamaiji) of Zarathushtra our Prophet, as referred to in A New Zaratosht Nameh by Prof A. V. Williams Jackson. This book was translated into Gujarati by Pahlanji Burjorji Desai and distributed free to Parsis by Sohrabji Edulji Warden in Bombay in 1900, Y. Z. 1269. Dr HOSANG F. MOGAL
