Seventy-four-year-old Lily Khan (pictured) of Calcutta came second in the 5,000 m run in the 70+ age group at the 38th National Masters Athletics Championship held at the Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad from February 21 to 25, 2017. She completed the event in 40 mins, 48 secs. In the 1,500 m run, she stood third, clocking 12 mins, 38.4 seconds.
Representing West Bengal, the veteran athlete was the fifth to complete the 5 km walk. "No certificate is given but a chart is put up at the Stadium,” conveyed the athlete to Parsiana.
