“Memorabilia ...”

I would like to add few facts to Bakhtiar Dadabhoy’s comments in "Memorabilia magnanimity” (Sports, Parsiana, November 21, 2016). Dara Dotiwalla and Piloo Reporter were appointed as stand-by umpires during the Reliance World Cup one-day matches played in Pakistan. Later, both the gentlemen from Bombay were appointed for the India vs New Zealand Jammu one-day match as well. Unfortunately the match was washed out. It proved to be Dotiwalla’s last one-day match. As confirmed by him, Dotiwalla officiated at six Test matches and nine one-dayers, while Reporter officiated at 14 Tests and 23 one-dayers. He had been writing for various sports magazines in India and abroad. His autobiography, An Umpire Remembers, was released during 2004-05 season.          KEKI DOODHWALA Surat keki57@yahoo.com ...
