Bombay Parsi Punchayet (BPP) chairman Yazdi Desai’s total U-turn concerning Dinshaw Tamboly’s nomination to the National Commission for Minorities (NCM) has made us a laughing stock, within and without our community.
Desai should have put on his thinking cap before asking Aspi Sarkari (the acting secretary of The Federation of the Parsi Zoroastrian Anjumans of India) to write to the minister for minorities suggesting Tamboly’s name. Not only that, he should have consulted his board before putting ink to paper.
