Mehta moves onward

Mehta moves onward  Freny Mehta (pictured), principal of Alexandra Girls’ English Institution retired on May 1, 2017 from the school after serving for 22 years. Mehta has "always made sure that the flag of Alexandra has flown high and with pride,” notes a write-up received by Parsiana from Farah Gustaspi, in-charge principal. Geography teacher Persis Pestonjamasp too retired on that date after serving for 26 years, as did head teacher of the pre-primary and primary sections, Shabnum Nooruddin, who served for a total of 33 years. Khurshid Dhondy, senior office staff member too ended her stint with the institution on May 1, after having served for 33 years. Gustaspi’s email notes that Percy Bharucha, who served as head of accounts for 19 years also relinquished office on that date. The retiring and other outgoing staff members were felicitated by the board of directors and trustees and the 61-year-old Parent-Teacher Association....
