In response to our previous appeals for donation to develop our dakhma land ("The unused dakhmas,” Readers’ Forum, Parsiana, April 7, 2017), we received Rs 43 lakhs including Rs 21.50 lakhs from and through the WZO (World Zoroastrian Organisation) Trust. We spent Rs 36 lakhs for land leveling, Rs 4.15 lakhs for two bore wells, pipelines and generator, Rs 6.23 lakhs for the main gate, roads within the Doongerwadi property and construction of a store room and pump house.

We are in need of Rs 32 lakhs for wire fencing the entire 15 acres of dakhma land. Before the next monsoon, baval plantation shall be done on one-third of the land.
