New admissions to the Dadar Athornan Institute (DAI) managed by the Athornan Mandal will be accepted from June 2024 for athornan children from Std I to IV. The boys will receive complete (sampurna) priestly training leading to navar and maratab as well as academic education up to SSC at the Dadar Parsee Youths Assembly High School. Basic knowledge of religion as well as nutritious food, comfortable lodging and homely care are provided absolutely free of cost.
All new students will be entitled to the benefit of the Sarkari-WZO scheme under which each one will be granted Rs 5,000 per month. The cumulative amount of around Rs 8,00,000 will be handed over after the student completes his navar, maratab and SSC.
