The first liver transplants at the Apollo Hospital in New Bombay should be performed in the next two months said Dr Darius Mirza (pictured), head, department of hepatobiliary (connected with liver, gall bladder and bile) and transplant surgery at the Hospital, consultant at Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Birmingham Children’s Hospital, UK, and professor of hepatobiliary and transplant surgery at the University of Birmingham. He was addressing the Mid-Town Rotary members on February 8, 2017 at the Taj Mahal and Palace Hotel.
The formalities for the liver transplant unit are almost over and Apollo has allotted 26 beds for the transplantation......
