After the Navsari Parsis overwhelmingly voted in favor of creating an aramgah on land adjacent to their Doongerwadi, The Parsee Voice (TPV) wrote to the trustees and secretary of the Navsari Samast Parsi Zarthoshti General Fund (NSPZGF) asking for "a copy of their trust deed/constitution to inspect the provisions therein. Why was the Tata no Wajifo, the proposed site of the aramgah adjacent to the dakhma lands, gifted to the anjuman? How can one section of the community using it for a mandated purpose be prevented from using it by changing its usage with the consent of just 156 persons?” Neither the trustees nor the secretary have bothered to respond, reads an email from the TPV team.        Navsari Doongerwadi   Editor Rita Doctor, associate editor and member of the Bhagarsath Anjuman Ervad Bahadur Sanjana and TPV correspondent Hanoz Mistry refer to the NSPZGF decision as "a senseless act of defiance since the system of dakhmenashini is available and functional in Navsari.” They have not received a response to date. ...
